Where does World Voices rehearse and perform?
World Voices treble choir holds all of its rehearsals and “home” concerts at the Christ Congregational Church in Brockton; 1350 Pleasant Street, Brockton.
Is lunch provided?
Yes, a full, healthy lunch is provided on each day. We will also provide nutritious snacks during rehearsals.
What if I have a food allergy?
In your acceptance packet, you will find an information sheet that asks about food allergies. If you fill it out completely, the staff will make sure that there will be food choices available to you.
Will the concert be recorded?
Yes! So, if a loved or friend is not able to attend the concert, information will be sent out after the concert as to the link to the concert footage.
What do we need to bring to the World Voices meetings?
You only need to bring yours voices and your willingness to learn and perform great music along with learning about diversity and visual arts.
What if I am not experienced in visual arts?
No experience is needed for the visual arts lessons. Our visual arts director is highly trained and will include projects appropriate for all levels of students.
What if I have an appointment during one of the days?
Ideally, everyone participating in WOVOS will be present for each meeting, as it will be filled with great singing and activities. However, if you have a schedule conflict during the rehearsal time, please make this known to WOVOS staff. Requests will be considered on a case by case basis.
If I need a scholarship to participate, how can I apply?
Scholarship applications are available in your acceptance packet. If you have financial need, please fill out the Scholarship Request form and send it, along with your other forms to WOVOS, 1350 Pleasant Street, Brockton, 02301.
